What each app's policy actually says
Tinder has no rule
Tinder's Community Guidelines run to thirteen rules. Not one of them mentions AI images. Rule 5 is "Don't create a fake account or pretend to be someone you're not". Tinder enforces that with Face Check, a liveness scan.
Bumble bans deceiving
Bumble's inauthentic profiles guideline prohibits "Using someone else's photos, artificially-generated photos, or enhanced photos to deceive others". The word doing the work is deceive. A generated photo of your own face is not someone else's photo.
Hinge permits, then warns
hinge.co/ai-principles says a generative AI image "should not be used to misrepresent yourself". Hinge's own AI Dating Guide separately says "But skip the AI-generated profile photos", and states 88% of Hinge daters are uncomfortable with them. Permitted, and discouraged.

Can I get banned for using AI photos?
Bans follow misrepresentation. If the profile shows someone else's face, or a face reshaped into a different person, that is impersonation, and all four apps treat that as grounds for removal. None of these four policies ban a generated photo of your own face. Fottory works from photos you upload of yourself, so the person in the result is you.
Do I have to say a photo is AI generated?
None of these four policies require a label. Tinder has no rule to disclose against. Bumble's condition is deceiving others. Hinge asks only that the image not misrepresent you. Feeld's rule covers malicious use. You can mention it in your bio if you want to, but no policy here makes you.

Will Tinder's Face Check stop me?
